Patricia Friedman is a Shareholder of The Bowden Spratt Law Firm, P.C. For almost 30 years, she has represented clients with respect to their estate planning needs, including estate and gift tax planning, charitable planning and estate administration. She has practiced with large and mid-size firms and currently practices with an estate planning boutique firm.

Patricia is a member of the Georgia and New York bars. She is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, recently serving on its board of directors. She also has served on the Foundations Committee for the Woodruff Arts Center Annual Campaign, is a recent participant in The Philanthropic Advisor's Leadership Institute sponsored by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, Inc. and is a former member of the Planned Giving Advisory Board for the Community Foundation. Currently she serves on the Advisory Committee for the Philanthropic Advisor's Leadership program's Giving Circle. Patricia serves on the Program Committee of the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and was recently elected as Secretary of that Section.

Patricia is a frequent speaker on the topics of estate planning and charitable planning. She speaks to groups of other professionals as well as community groups and charitable organizations.

Patricia received her B.A. with honors from Vanderbilt University in 1985 and her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 1988, where she was Research Editor for the Vanderbilt Law Review.

Patricia is also very active in her community, serving in various volunteer roles in her children's schools. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Paideia School, serving on the Governance Committee, and formerly served on the Board of Trustees of The Children's School, chairing the Budget and Finance Committee, acting as Treasurer and as Vice-Chair. Patricia remains an active volunteer for Vanderbilt, regularly interviewing applicants to both the law school and the College of Arts and Sciences. Patricia serves as a mentor in the Team in Training program, which supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
